Rich 79, Panguitch 70
Rich jumped out to a 27-10 lead early and held on late to post a win over Panguitch in what was a highly-anticipated matchup of No. 2 seeds in the nightcap of the opening round of the 1A tournament. Kayden Calder led Rich on offense with 23 points, while Caden Andersen and Bradley Holmes each added 12. Panguitch's Trac Norris paced all scorers with 24 points.
The Rebels, behind sophomore guard Kayden Calder, jumped out to a 27-10 lead midway through the second quarter and then made enough plays down the stretch to post a huge 79-70 win Wednesday night.
"We just jumped on them," Calder said of Rich's fast start. "That's what we try to do — jump out and don't look back."

I think the highlight of the season was his being named to the Deseret News All-State Honorable Mention Team as a sophomore. There were only 4 sophomores in the whole state who made all-state rankings. He scored a total of 251 points this season for an average of 9.65 per game.
I love you Kayd and can't wait to see your progress next season!

Way to go Calder boys! And way to go Rich! You guys ROCK!
Way to go Kayden! All of your hard work really paid off! What is next, a breather, or another sport? (ps can I have your new car?)
Darin and I enjoyed watching Kayden. You could tell his heart was in every game. Way to go, can't wait 'till next year!
Woohoo! Way to be! (That was for grandpa! He always used to say that!)
Go Kayden!! Great pictures mom.
PS - Jen, that is so funny. I can hear him yelling that in my mind.
Just wanted to say thank you for all you guys have done for my family! I know that my dad really enjoys coaching Kaden! He is a great kid! I will never forget his three point shot from half court at state - that was amazing! Even though Jade is now done with Rebel basketball - Kaden still has a huge fan from Texas!! Tell him to keep up the good work!
